Everyone, please take a look at this bear picture. My nephew Ethan was fortunate enough to get this photo a few weeks ago. Our question is, is there anyone out there who can give a realistic estimate of weight and size? A couple thoughts, this is an August picture of a bear from mid-state Vermont.

that bear looks like it is a 7'0" and 700lbs. just a guess.I know somebody that took a 600lb here in North Carolina and yours looks a lil bigger
Looks like a nice bear but hard to say without a better shot of the side and head. The ears look small which usually indicates a decent bear. I can't see the bottom of the stomach since it is covered with ferns but it looks like it hangs low which is another good sign that it is a mature bear. Nice picture.

Damn he's a big SOB!! He's 400+ I'm sure. Hard to say on how many inches his skull Is. Not a good pic for scoring.
